We’ve partnered up with #HawerchuckStrong again to raise funds for two great causes and I couldn’t be more proud.

We’re also excited to announce that this year’s camp will be held at Teen Ranch! This will be an experience the players won’t forget! Growing up Ben and myself both attended Teen Ranch and have great memories of our time there! Please check out their website to see everything they have to offer!

Mash Hockey / HAWERCHUK STRONG Camp

Individual Skills

Puck skills, skating techniques, and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasize how these skills apply to all game situations.

Power Skating

Players will develop a more explosive and lengthened stride, and will be challenged to perform elite level skating maneuvers during in game situations.

Edge Work

We show you how to create power through correct use of your edges. Body positioning and correct technique are vital to creating a good skater.

Agility

Mash Hockey can improve each player’s quickness, balance, speed, agility and power through a series of specifically designed hockey drills and exercises.

Shooting

Skating and puck skills specific to your position, and teaching shooting with techniques and proper execution for your position on the ice.

Stick Handling

Players will learn how to maximize their movements from the skates up to their hands. Players will develop more confidence and overall skills.

Game Situation Drills

Work on skating and puck skills in high tempo, multi-skilled game situation exercises to teach your child how to bring everything they've learned to a real game.

Mentoring

Our mentoring process is where our coaches, with the required skills, knowledge and support help to promote and sustain a player's development.

Ben Hawerchuk

Ben is the son of Dale. He played 5 years for Dale and the Barrie Colts where he served as assistant captain for 2 of those years. Ben Hawerchuk is currently in his sixth season of professional hockey and has over 100 games of ECHL experience.

Andrew Mangiapane

We're excited to welcome back Andrew Mangiapane. Andrew played 3 years for the Barrie Colts with Dale as his coach. He is currently in his 8th year in the NHL (Washington Capitals/Calgary Flames) and has played over 480 games producing 237+ points

Ben is the son of Dale. He played 5 years for Dale and the Barrie Colts where he served as assistant captain for 2 of those years. Ben Hawerchuk is currently in his sixth season of professional hockey and has over 100 games of ECHL experience.

Eddie Pasquale

Mash Hockey is excited to announce that this year's goalie coach is Eddie Pasquale. Eddie is currently in his 15th year of his impressive professional hockey career. In 2017 Eddie was a part of the AHL Calder Cup winning team the Grand Rapids Griffins, played in the NHL (Tampa Bay Lightning) and with Team Canada at the 2022 Olympics. Eddie has a wealth of knowledge to pass down to the next generation.

Jacob Graves

Mash Hockey is excited to have Jacob Graves at camp this year. Jacob played 5 years in the OHL between Mississauga Steelheads, Kingston Frontenacs, Oshawa Generals and with his final stop the London Knights, where he became an OHL and Memorial Cup Champion. He is currently in his 9th year pro with 42 games played in the AHL and almost 400 in the ECHL.

Ben Hawerchuk

Ben is the son of Dale. He played 5 years for Dale and the Barrie Colts where he served as assistant captain for 2 of those years. Currently Ben is in his 5th year of professional hockey.

Justin Murray

Justin played 4 years for Dale Hawerchuk and the Barrie Colts. He also served as Captain of the team for one of those years. After Jr. Justin entered his professional career in the ECHL where he played 3 seasons between Worcester Railers and Kalamazoo Wings. This will be his 3rd year as a guest coach.

Joseph Blandisi

Joseph is a former player of the Barrie Colts who also had Dale as a head coach. Currently playing in his 9th professional season and has amassed over 450 games with 101 of those being NHL between New Jersey Devils, Anaheim Ducks, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Dylan Sadowy

Dylan was a former Barrie Colt who also played under Dale. He also played 7 years of professional hockey where he played 65 in the AHL. In 16/17 Dylan played for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL and helped the team win the Calder Cup Trophy.

Lucas Chiodo

Lucas is a former Barrie Colt who played for Dale and the Barrie Colts for 3.5 seasons. Lucas is in his 4th season of professional hockey. He is currently playing overseas in the EIHL for Fife Flyers.

Joseph Murdaca (Goalie Coach)

Joseph is currently in his 5th year of professional hockey after an impressive jr career having won the OHL Championship with Erie Otters in 16/17 and winning not only the QMJHL Championship but also the Memorial cup with the Acadie-Bathurst Titans. He is currently playing for the Jacksonville Icemen in the ECHL.

Brent Boschman

Head Coach
Brent is a Liberty University graduate and All-American, the son of former Ottawa Senators Captain Laurie Boschman, is a highly regarded coach, instructor, and player agent, holding a degree in Sport Management and is the Liberty Flames third all-time leading scorer.

Erik Bradford

Hockey Coach
Joining us again this summer as a guest hockey coach is Erik Bradford from Orangeville. Erik played in the OHL for five years before a nine-year professional career in North America in the AHL and ECHL, where he finished second in league scoring and a league All-Star in his final year before heading overseas. He is currently playing in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan league for IK Oskarshamn.

Mindset Mentor
Breanna helps individuals shift their mindset to set them up for success. She shines a light on people's beliefs that create their mindset, and replace them with more productive patterns of thought.

Amal Benoit

Mindset Mentor
Amal has combined his healing arts training with psychotherapy to offer an approach that focuses on guiding individuals into seeing their limiting beliefs and fixed mindset transforming into a growth mindset.

Research suggests that athletes who practice and employ visualization techniques can improve an athlete's performance. Visualization involves imagining the performance of a task, resulting in a positive outcome. This technique has been widely used by athletes at all levels of play, in virtually all sports.
